Benefits
Menopause is a natural biological event, not an estrogen deficiency disease. Menopause represents the permanent cessation of menses resulting in the loss of ovarian follicular function. Menopause is a psychosocial passage. Menstruation is preceded by a gradual slowing of the menstrual process as a result of decline in the ovarian factors due to aging. Menopause, coupled with mid-life emotional and social issues, can contribute to serious heath problems.
Ayurvedic Concept
The menopause condition arises approximately between the ages of 45 to 50, when the menstruation ceases. The decrease in hormones is known as climacteric. It can be a long process that begins with women in their 40’s. In Ayurveda, it is described that menses start approximately at the age of 12 and cease at the near age of 50. Between these years, Doshas (Humors) of body also get adjusted. In Ayurveda at this stage, Pitta (Fire) gets elevated, Vata (Air) less than Pita (Fire) and Kapha (Water) decrease in their quality and quantity. These changes produce many symptoms according to their amount. According to Ayurveda, menopause signifies an accumulation of Vata (Air) in the endocrine system which causes the reduced secretion of the female reproductive hormones. The decrease in the level of the reproductive hormones in the body is responsible for the menstrual cycle becoming disrupted and finally ceasing.
Deficiency of Kapha (Water), which may be correlated with collagen in the body, and increase in Vata (Air) (Porousness of tissues including bones) are the main causative factors for this syndrome. It is the collagen that holds the minerals like calcium in the bones. So reforming of collagen is, therefore, a basic need for the correction of the menopausal related pathology. The herbs in Menoaid are mostly Vata Shamak (Air pacifying), some herbs have Tridosh-Shamak (Balance all the three humors) and Rasayana (Rejuvenating) properties. So by their joint action they check the various symptoms related to this syndrome.
These herbs are excellent for the easy transition of the menopausal period. It is a non-hormonal preparation so it has no side effects. Due to the formation and presence of Fibroids, Menoaid can be accompanied by excessive uterine bleeding during menstruation. The use of Menoaid with Uterous Care is highly beneficial in these conditions.
As a natural herbal product, it does not increase the risk of Heart Stoke, Blood Clots, Bone Fracture due to weakness of bones, Coronary heart disease (Heart Attack) and Osteoporosis due to calcium deficiency.
