Although PerfectAmino is gaining popularity, there have been quite a few complaints. Personally, I noticed extreme water retention and backed-up lymphatic drainage from the powder versions, namely the vanilla, chocolate, and mixed berry flavors. 

I noticed about 2-3 pounds of water weight throughout my body when I was drinking the PerfectAminos Powder. As soon as I stopped consuming it, changing nothing else in my activity or diet, the water weight disappeared. As for the capsules, they were more difficult for my liver to break down than other amino acid supplements. In a time where most livers are overburdened with toxins, adding in this supplement was too much.

I suspect the negative reaction came from the additional ingredients in the powder that are there to enhance the taste. It also could have been from the source of the ingredients; many supplement companies, not just with essential amino acids, allow high bacterial and mold counts in their supplements.
