You’ve heard about the Keto Diet, but may have also heard about the Keto Flu and the downsides to starting Keto. What if I told you within 3 days you are going to feel amazing and feel all of the effects of the keto diet, including improved mental clarity, physical energy, reduction in inflammation, fat loss, and a boost to your immune system?
The reality is that when you have been living a life fueled by sugar or glucose for years, switching to a high-fat, low-carb diet and telling your body to run on fat for fuel, there will be a transition phase where the engine slows down and feels lethargic, and you may experience brain fog and a lack of physical and mental energy. You probably would experience headaches and hunger pains as well. This also can be a stress on the body which then can disrupt your sleep and be hard on your adrenals. This is why when someone says they want to do the Keto Diet, I ask them if they’re really ready!
It is a commitment, but once you get there you never want to go back! Your body has been fueled with quick sources of fuel from dietary intake that includes mostly sugar and carbs. Regardless of the amount of fat cells and calories on your body, your body does not know how to access those fuel sources, and only knows how to trigger sugar cravings to make you reach for available carbs. Because the body can only store about 2,000 calories of sugar or carbs at a time, you are constantly needing to refuel, making it so you are eating every couple of hours to avoid any headaches or hunger pains. If you try to switch to the ketogenic diet without my tips below, you will have to suffer through these symptoms for up to 4 weeks until you get to the other side and your body is keto-adapted, meaning it is looking for fat to burn for fuel.
What are the temporary side effects from switching to a ketogenic diet without following my 3-Day Keto Diet?
- Low Energy
- Disruption of Sleep
Regardless of how long it takes you to become keto-adapted, whether it is with my 3-day keto diet or cold turkey with no supplements or tools over a period of two to four weeks, the benefits on the other side are amazing and you will never want to go back!
The Benefits of Ketosis are:

The long term benefits from my Keto Detox Cleanse outweigh the possible negative side-effects, but I want to give you the tools to quickly flip into ketosis with my 3 Day Keto Detox Diet. With the tools below, you will be able to achieve the benefits of ketosis, detoxify the liver while on a keto diet, and escape the negative side effects mentioned above.
Does Keto Detox Your Body?
Yes! When you are in ketosis and your body is fueled by the fat on your body for fuel, it does not need outside calories for energy. As a result, it stops digestion and is able to focus on detoxing the body, reducing inflammation and healing the gut and the whole system. It gives the body a chance to take a breath and clean itself up!
When you are Intermittent Fasting and in ketosis, your body can reach a state called autophagy which means “self eating”. Essentially during this phase, the diseased cells are being cleaned up, and the body is regenerating new healthier cells. This is the deepest state of detox!
Additionally, as the Gut has a break from digestion, it is healing Leaky Gut, which most Americans suffer from, and if you have eaten sugar, gluten, grains and foods with GMO’s in them, or if you have taken prescription drugs or antibiotics, you are suffering from it as well. All of those things rip holes in the intestinal lining of your gut and allow foreign substances to enter the bloodstream. As a result, the gut isn’t able to produce serotonin and dopamine which leads to an over-exaggerated Auto-Immune Response in addition to destroying the Immune System itself.
80 Percent of the Immune System is in the Gut. Leaky Gut is the cause for systemic inflammation in the body and all Auto-Immune Disease. These diseases include arthritis, depression, anxiety, Lupus, MS, IBS, Brain Fog, ADHD, Alzheimer’s, Dementia and many more. So, it makes sense that if we heal the Leaky Gut, we heal the Immune System and the Immune system heals the body.
What’s more, is that when you are in Ketosis, your system produces much less oxidative stress or waste — so there is less to clean up. As a result, your system not only has the time while fasting to focus on “Clean Up,” but there is less to clean up, leading to a quicker detoxification of the body.
Does Keto Detox Your Liver Quickly?
The beauty of the keto diet is it naturally detoxes the liver. It is a misnomer that you need to limit your fat intake for gallbladder and liver health. In fact, it is saturated fat from healthy sources like grass fed beef, wild salmon, olive oil, coconut oil, and avocados that stimulate the bile production to flush out the gallbladder and liver.
Fatty Liver is caused by over processed foods, alcohol, grains and sugar. As you switch to the keto diet, you will have eliminated those foods and focus on the foods in my Keto Dietary Guidelines. Additionally, cutting your meals down to 2-3 meals a day within a 4-8 hour period will naturally give the liver and gallbladder time to detox. If you would like to do a Liver Detox while on keto, you can take the Liver Detox Supplements to speed up the process.
Does Working Out Help You Detox on Keto?
Yes! When you exercise, you are taking your body into a deeper state of ketosis and increasing Autophagy. In fact, exercise is the quickest tool to achieve ketosis. The beauty of exercising in ketosis is you have an unlimited amount of energy coming from your body’s fat stores so you won’t “bonk”. Bonking occurs when the body is fueling on dietary glucose and runs out of it, while lacking the ability to tap into the fat stores on the body.
When you are in ketosis, your body seamlessly fuels off of both dietary fat and body fat without breaking down the muscle tissue. Furthermore, as you are in ketosis, your oxygen utilization is more efficient and your lung function is improved due to less inflammation throughout the body. As a result, you aren’t breathing as hard and your perceived exertion is much lower. Most people are able to work out longer and harder because their perceived exertion is less, and working out increases circulation as well, enhancing the body’s detoxification.
What to Eat on a 3 Day Keto Detox Diet?
The goal with the 3 Day Keto Detox is to bypass the typical side effects that you may experience from switching to a ketogenic diet.
Here are my top tips for what to do:
1. Take Acceleradine Iodine
Iodine Is the most important mineral for a healthy thyroid and liver. This not only will detox you from substances like fluoride, bromide, and chlorine that are found in our food and water, but it will increase your metabolism and thyroid health, improve your immune system by devitalizing parasites, bacteria, and other foreign pathogens that are slowing you down.
Acceleradine is the only radiation free iodine treated with Scalar technology that actually detoxes you from both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. You will take this 3 times a day on an empty stomach with water.
2. Take Silver
Silver detoxes your blood, devitalizes all foreign pathogens including viruses and bacteria, alkalizes the blood, and increases circulation.
3. A Pinch of Salt
Put a pinch of Accelerated Ancient Salt on your tongue to help increase detoxification and alleviate any nausea or hunger. Accelerated Ancient Salt is treated with Scalar technology to enhance detoxification. When in ketosis, you actually need more salt then when you are on a Standard American Diet and our kidneys let go of sodium and water weight when switching to keto.
4. Have your Morning Cup of Coffee or Keto Detox Tea
Yes, coffee actually stimulates the liver to dump its toxins! Just don’t add sugar. You can add stevia and organic whole fat creamer. You can even add MCT oil, butter or ghee to boost your ketones.
I make my Keto Detox Tea with Yogi Detox Tea, Ola Loa, turmeric, ginger and stevia. Those ingredients stimulate ketosis.
5. Wait Until You Are Hungry
When hunger strikes, have your Accelerated Keto. This will flip you into ketosis within 30 minutes, making your hunger subside, and your body will use its own fat stores for energy and feed your brain amazing ketone energy! The physical and mental energy you will experience is steady and long lasting. Your body will start producing more ATP in the cells (true cellular energy) and reducing inflammation throughout the body.
6. Your First Meal
This can be as early as 10 am or as late as 3 or 4 pm. DON’T EAT IF YOU AREN’T HUNGRY.
This meal should include foods from the Keto Dietary Guidelines like a green salad with a few nuts or avocado and organic chicken, steak, lamb or fish. It could be as simple as an avocado and nuts or a bag of Carnivore Crisps! It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just focus on greens, protein and fats, and staying away from the breads, pastas, and sugars.
7. Your Second Meal
This should be at least 3 hours before you go to bed. It is similar to your first meal but usually is bigger only because most people are used to eating their biggest meal for dinner.
Listen to your hunger cues — if you aren’t hungry, don’t eat or don’t eat everything on your plate. Remember, you aren’t going to starve. Your body is “snacking” on your fat stores. You can check out my Keto Detox Recipes on Instagram and incorporate the foods from the Keto Dietary Guidelines.
Both meals should focus on Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage and arugula which are not only low in carbs and full of healthy fiber, but are known to detox the liver on their own. They will enhance your detoxification while intermittent fasting and doing keto.
8. Bedtime Detox Drink
Right before bed, mix 1-2 Teaspoons of Accelerated Cellular Detox Powder, 8 ounces of water, 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar or lemon juice, and a pinch of Nunaturals Stevia (optional).
Optional Keto Diet Hacks:
- If you find yourself experiencing nausea or hunger, put a pinch of Accelerated Ancient Salt on your tongue.
- If you find yourself tired, have an extra serving of Ola Loa to hydrate with the electrolytes. You are not needing calories for energy. Remember, your body has plenty of fat to access for fuel. You are losing electrolytes while losing weight and the lace of potassium is the cause of lethargy.
- Have an extra dose of Accelerated Keto in the afternoon if you need an extra boost.
- Have an Afternoon Keto Detox Drink: Mix 1 serving of Ola Loa, and La Croix (coconut or lime flavor) or water.
- Eat Pili nuts. A handful of these nuts have only 1 carb and taste delicious. They will sustain you for hours while kicking up your ketones.
- Taking ION* Gut Health (formerly RESTORE) 3 times a day will heal your Leaky Gut and enhance your detoxification and rebuilding of your immune system.
- Taking Latero Flora once a day will devitalize the Candida, E. Coli, Salmonella and other foreign pathogens in your gut that may be causing sugar cravings.
- Take Digestive Enzymes if you have a hard time digesting the increased amount of fat. This will help with nutrient absorption and alleviate any bloat or indigestion.
- Take a walk. Walking is the best exercise for getting your lymphatic system working and improving your immune system without burning out your adrenals.
- Far Infrared Sauna. Sauna therapy is a great way to increase your level of ketosis, sweat out toxins, and improve your immunity.
